Game Drives

In the mid afternoon tea will be served, after which the afternoon game drive will depart. This is the time of day when many of the animals are active and sightings are generally good. As the sun sets the vehicle will head back to the lodge and you can enjoy refreshing sundowners.

Guided Nature Walks

You can experience the thrill of seeing wildlife while on foot during a guided nature walk during your luxury holiday in Kenya. The ranger will teach you how to read the signs of the bush and brief you on how to approach animals while maintaining a safe distance. They will teach you about the local plants and how they are used in bush survival.

Hot Air Balloon Safari

A Hot Air Balloon Safari is one of the iconic safari experiences of a East African safari. It is one of the most wonderful ways to take in the scale and spectacle of the Great Migration. From the air it is easy to see the millions of Wildebeest, Zebra, Topi down below. The flights generally take off just before dawn and last for approximately an hour.

The Maasai Mara is named in part after the local tribe who own the land that the reserve covers. One of the most recognisable tribes in Africa is the Maasai who are known for their distinctive red style of dress and vibrant culture. They are pastoralists that have lived in harmony with the wildlife for centuries. Visit a local village and gain insights into their everyday life on the plains of Africa.
