Lake Nakuru National Park
Home to thousands of pink flamingos, the Lake Nakuru National Park surrounds a vast shallow soda lake. There is a fenced off sanctuary which protects Rothschild Giraffes, and endangered Black and White Rhinos. Baboons are often seen on “Baboon Hill” and the park is an important breeding ground for many species of waterfowl.
Getting to Sarova Lion Hill
By Road
The Lodge is situated a 160 kilometres (99 miles) from Nairobi. The road is tarred and in good condition and the journey should take about 2 hours.
- Take the A104 from Nairobi towards Naivasha.
- Travel 160 kilometres to Nakuru.
- Turn into Moi Avenue and travel past the Afraha Stadium to the main gate of the National Park.
- Once inside the national park, follow the signs to Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge.
By Air
Guests can also choose to arrive by a private charter plane to the Park Airstrip which is a 30 minute drive from the lodge.
