It's no wonder Joy Adamson chose this amazing place to release a Leopard called Penny back into the wild. Be inspired by her story on a safari in Kenya at Joys Camp. You can read her book “Queen of Shaba” and then visit a small museum near camp which is dedicated to this outstanding conservationist of “Born Free” fame.

Joys Camp is situated next to some natural springs and an active waterhole. You'll be able to watch from the comfort of camp, the comings and goings of Elephant, Waterbuck and Buffalo when they visit this water resource. You may also spot rare animals such as the Gerenuk, Oryx, Reticulated Giraffe, Lesser Kudu and Grevy's Zebra. Birdlife is prolific.

On morning and evening game drives or guided bush walks you can track game and keep a look out for Lion, Cheetah and Leopard which also favour this area. Back at camp rest and relaxation will claim you. There is a lovely pool and massage therapy to enjoy or you can capture what you see with drawings and watercolours.
